The 64th General Assembly and Congress in Suriname elected a new Secretary General.

The 64th General Assembly and Congress of the Conseil International du Sport Militaire (CISM) elected Colonel Alexandre Morisod as its new Secretary General. Colonel Morisod emerged victorious over 4 high-skilled candidates.
Alexandre Morisod was born in Vérossaz, Wallis, Switzerland in 1952. He is married to Marianne and has 3 children, Alexandra, Gregory and Bertrand.
He started his career as athlete in Alpine and Nordic Ski as well as ski alpinism. Alexandre Morisod then developed his managerial sports skills and was among others:
· President of the commission of candidacy of Switzerland for the Olympic Games 2006.
· President of the organizing Committee of multiple international ski competitions.
· President of the competitions committee of the European Youth Olympic Festival.
Expert and professor in Alpine and Nordic Ski, Alexandre Morisod was appointed as Technical
Delegate in Nordic Ski at FIS (Fédération Internationale de Ski) and later on, Chief of the FIS
Technical Delegates of Nordic Ski.
He started his CISM leadership career in 2006 as Director of the General Affairs Department
in Brussels.
Alexandre Morisod is holder of a degree in Economics, Marketing and Administration Management. He is about to completing his Master in Management of the Sports Organizations
(MEMOS) at the International Olympic Committee.
Alexandre Morisod started his term in office on 01 June 2009.
